My favorite part of an incredible day

Today was amazing. I am awestruck by the peaceful passing of power. I am hopeful that President Obama can succeed, and that America can be a light in a darkening world.

The Quaker hymn "Simple Gifts" has always been a favorite, and this rendition today was breathtaking. Enjoy!

.

That song was the theme of our sacrament meeting the Sunday before and then suddenly it was Everywhere!

I heard today that they "finger-synced!!" They recorded the piece three days before and had ear pieces to listen to make sure they were putting their fingers in the right places. They were afraid the cold weather would make it sound bad.

Shock! Finger-syncing!

:oD

I love this song. And I want to play it some day. After finding friends who will play the violin, cello, and piano parts. Hope it gets published so I can. :)
